Janet Murray is a classically trained musician and top-ranked piano instructor with 24 years teaching experience.
Ms. Murray has been educated in music from childhood, through college, and has taught and lectured in the Bay area for 24 years. She has played recitals in California, Washington, Texas, New Mexico, and Virginia and performs regularly for local events.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch University and is a member of the American College of Musicians and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
Janet Murray has ongoing adult piano keyboard classes in a supportive, enthusiastic group environment in Walnut Creek, California. Her students become self-confident in their piano playing -- and performing skills. Theory, interpretation, style, and technique are included as part of musical development. Students learn time and key signatures, note reading and chords by playing familiar tunes from classical to spiritual to rock. Time is set aside in class for practice. This is a chance to learn basic piano keyboard and use it to play loved songs for family and friends' celebrations.
Deborah Ashley received her Bachelor's in Music in Violin Performance from the University of North Carolina, graduated cum laude in Art from Meredith College, and has done graduate work in organ and church music. She has extensive experience in art and stage productions, and has been teaching piano and art, privately and in class settings, for eight years.
Private piano lessons and classes are available on an arranged-time basis at MUSIC ONE STUDIOS located in Walnut Creek. A number of students prepare and perform in the National Van Cliburn competitions. Please contact us to start your piano lessons.

Cheryl Beasley-Albright has studied classical flute for over twenty years with fine teachers, including Susan Waller, and has been teaching in the San Francisco Bay Area for over ten years. She plays for local groups including the Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra. She was principal flute at Los Medanos College for 3 years, and principal flute for 2 years in the Northern California Community College Honor Band.
Cheryl is highly recommended by her fellow teachers and her students.

Angela Magoun-Layfield completed her Master’s in Voice Performance at the New England Conservatory and received her Bachelor’s in Music Education and Voice Performance from the University of Redlands. She performs extensively in opera, musical theatre, oratorio, and concert settings and is an active part of the music scene in the Bay Area. Her teaching experience ranges from private voice instruction to directing choirs.

Ivanna Taratula holds a Bachelor of Music from the State Institute of the Arts, a Master of Music from the Lysenko Conservatory of Music, a Diploma in Vocal Music Education from the College of Fine Arts in Lviv, Ukraine, and a Certificate in Vocal Performance from Bay Area Summer Opera Theater Institute in San Anselmo, California. She has performed in opera in Italy, the Ukraine, Slovakia, Poland, and San Francisco. She has 13 years' teaching experience in all ages from private lessons to choral productions .
